"I love the fact there are classes everyday to fit around my crazy routine of being a working mum."
In 2015, I ran the London Marathon with only 12 weeks of training and no previous running experience. The following year, I completed the Half Tough Mudder with a small team of friends and family, this time even less training. Both these events showed me what I capable of, physically and mentally, but left me wondering what i could achieve would happen if I’d trained for longer with support?
I looked around locally for ‘something’ that would help with my training and I found CrossFit. After my ‘No Sweat Intro’ with Coach Cath, I signed up to the ‘On Ramp’ and haven’t looked back.
I love the variety of the training and the fact there are classes everyday to fit around my crazy routine of being a working mum. I’m discovering things about myself I never knew and have developed a slight addiction to the achy sore muscles.
After a workout finishes, it is one of the best feelings ever. Even though you’re out of breath and you feel like collapsing, You take a couple of deep breathes, realign yourself and realise that you have just done what you thought you couldn’t – my happy place.
Surrounding myself with people that reflect who I want to be and how I want to feel. Energies are contagious. So, that is exactly what I’m doing at CrossFit Ampthill.
